Anyone who has stood in front of a high wall at an obstacle race knows the feeling. On your own, you're probably not getting over. Someone gives you a boost, someone pulls from the top, and suddenly the people around you matter more than your split time.
In Molveno, the X-FULL route covers 16 km, 36 obstacles and 862 metres of climbing at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites, with icy water and one of the longest Tarzan swings in Europe along the way. That's a lot of moments where you need the person next to you. And every year we see the same thing: groups arrive as colleagues or club mates, and they cross the finish line as a team.
No workshop shows so clearly who slows down to wait for the others, who takes charge when the trail gets steep, and who is still cracking jokes at kilometre twelve.
Rothoblaas from South Tyrol lined up in Molveno in 2026 with nine employees and afterwards shared the day on LinkedIn. Mud, steep climbs and icy water all got a mention, but the post was really about the team.
In August 2024, Urban J. Räber, site and operations manager at Rhäzünser Mineralquelle (Feldschlösschen Getränke AG), brought a group of eleven to X-WARRIOR Arosa, our race high up in the Swiss mountains. In his post he described how the group supported and pushed each other all the way, and how their matching shirts made them recognisable as one team out on the course. His takeaway: that's exactly the spirit a workplace needs, with strategy, motivation and support, and a strong employer branding story on top.
Over the years, Molveno has welcomed athletes from OCR Cagliari, OCR House Firenze, Black Light Warriors and Ultimate Vikings Race. OCR Munich e.V. travelled down from Germany and wrote its own race report, a good read if you want to see how a race weekend turns into a club trip.
So on the same start line you'll find company teams next to club athletes, and groups of friends next to people running their very first obstacle race.
Out on the course, differences in fitness show up fast and roles shift. The strongest runner may spend the day hauling teammates over walls instead of chasing a time. Those stories travel home with you. For a company, they're employer branding nobody had to stage. For a club, they become part of who you are.
Nobody remembers their finish time a year later. They remember who gave them a hand at the wall.
